Collect altitude meters for your city on the BANFF tour!
Get ready for the most enjoyable micro-mountain tour of the year!
In the VAUDE × Tirol Peak Challenge, what matters is that you participate, not how athletic you are. Just 20 seconds on the stairs is enough to add a few meters of elevation to your city. It's not individual performance that counts, but how many people mountaineer together.
Climb these mountains together as a city in Tirol
1 step ≙ 7.5 meters of elevation gain
With every step you take, your city gets closer to reaching its altitude goal. From the Marmot Level to the Wildspitze, anything is possible with enough participation. Together with our partners VAUDE and Tirol, we're showing that small steps can lead to big achievements.
So start climbing, and your city will take the lead!
The 800-year-old fortress is a landmark and the home of the world's largest open-air organ, the Heldenorgel. In Römerhofgasse, Tyrolean houses whisper of history, and Art Nouveau buildings offer moments of wonder. After immersing yourself in the culture, the mountains beckon, especially in winter when the slopes of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental are covered in snow.
Bergiselschanze (650 Meter)
Not only does the elite of winter sports compete here as part of the Four Hills Tournament, but architecture fans also rave about it. Zaha Hadid's creation rises elegantly above Innsbruck and offers a 360-degree view of the city and mountains from the Bergisel SKY. Eating up here makes you feel almost like a ski jumper, like an eagle in the air.
Stüdlhütte (2.802 Meter)
Perched at an elevation of 2,802 meters directly below Austria's highest peak, the Stüdlhütte blends into the landscape while offering the comforts of a contemporary alpine retreat. It is a meeting place for mountaineers aiming to climb the Großglockner, as well as for those seeking the tranquility of the East Tyrolean High Alps. No matter how you arrive—whether via the famous Stüdlgrat ridge, the standard route, or by simply stepping out into the clear mountain air—you will feel freedom within reach.
007 ELEMENTS (3.048 Meter)
At an elevation of 3,048 meters, James Bond encounters the Tyrolean high mountains—a colder adventure world than any secret agent could handle. In "007 ELEMENTS," original props, film scenes, and light installations guide visitors through the world of the world's most famous spy, offering an adventure that blends rock faces and film sets. Next door, the Ice Q restaurant serves martinis to those who want to treat themselves.
Wildspitze (3.768 Meter)
The Wildspitze is not a mountain for casual hikers, but it's a must-visit destination for anyone dreaming of reaching its summit. At 3,768 meters, it is Tyrol's highest mountain. In winter, its legendary ski tour attracts visitors. In summer, experienced mountaineers flock to the mountain. Thanks to the Glacier Express from Pitztal, you can reach the summit in a day, but you'll need to be in good physical condition and have a mountain guide.
