REEL ROCK: Cenote

Deep blue water and mystical charm. The cenotes on Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula are known for their unique ambiance. The underground caves are popular for swimming and diving yet have even more to offer.

‘Cenote’ tells the story of Adolfo ‘Fito’ Trujillo, who accidentally discovered his passion for climbing while swimming. He was deep-water soloing (free climbing over bodies of water) without even knowing that what he was doing had a name. Today, the papaya farmer is running the first climbing gym in his town and hopes to get even more people in his area excited about the sport.
